    Courteous and welcoming staff who allowed for our poor French language skills and were very patient. The room was very clean and well presented and the whole experience could have been very good indeed.

    Failure to advise of the closure of the restaurant during August although we booked well in advance. We had a difficult 13 hour journey on the 09/08/08 having encountered very heavy traffic around Nantes and arrived to find that there was nowhere to eat apart from a questionnable pizzeria nearby. 10/08/08 was our 34th wedding anniversary and following a good day touring in the area around Brest we had to eat in the nearby Campanile Hotel which whilst acceptable did not provide the kind of celebratory meal that we had planned. We compensated the following evening in Caen whilst staying in a Novotel. Brest Aeroport Oceania is clearly a former Novotel and more than capable of offering equal quality. At the time of our visit it failed to do so.

    "this is the kind of hotel we would like to find more often, with professional and friendly atmosphere. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone. we would go back there without hesitation." (99251001)

    the staff was very polite, helpful and spoke good english. we requested a cot as we went out to dine and it was in our room when we came back. the bedroom were spacious and clean. the bathroom was surprisingly beautiful and well equiped. the breakfast buffet was varied and fresh.

    "Very comfortable and convenient for the airport. One criticism - Receptionbooked a taxi to the airport, we were charged from the centre of Brest, not just the journey from the hotel to the airport - this was a rip-off!" (3304805914)

    "A modern hotel, very convenient for Brest airport. Surprisingly pleasant gardens. Good comprehensive breakfast. It was annoying to discover that the hotel restaurant was closed on a Saturday night -we were unaware of this both at time of booking & at check-in." (3304303695)

    "It would be really helpful if at least one staff member spoke English! In particular this was a marketed as a business hotel for stopovers, it being called the Oceania Airport Hotel, so you can safely assume there will be lots of business travellers, many from abroad, and things would just go so much more smoothly if I could effectively communicate with your staff.     "The hotel is clean, with good bar and food services, the rooms are well equiped, very nice bathrooms, it is close to the Airport, about 12 Euros for the taxi. The desk is staffed 24 hours a day and the level of spoken English is good. The only thing lacking from the business perspective is no high speed internet access. Overall good value for money.     dîner: qualité de la nourriture très moyenne: riz en accompagnement du poisson semblait réchauffé de la veille, légumes vapeur sans saveur, etc... fraîcheur des produits douteuse: malade le lendemain bien que peu sensible... en revanche, service très sympa, ras de ce point de vue
