    "A well run and unusual hotel with friendly and helpful staff.Access to the hotel is through a very narrow entrance on the cliff face and is difficult with a large car, however the hotel itself is very good." (3304982403)

    Well designed clean rooms with good quality furnishings andfixtures.

    There are no restaurants within easy walking distance as the hotel is well out of the small village.

    "We had a great time at Demeure de la Vignole. We loved the hotel, which is distinctive and unusual with 'troglodyte' rooms excavated into the soft limestone of the area. (This is a feature of homes in the area from small cottages built into the rock to an amazing underground chateau which adjoins the hotel.) The hotel's approach is very individual: each room is different and at meals, each table is distinctive. The food is excellent and staff are very friendly and speak good English. This is an outstanding hotel which gave us a very enjoyable and memorable stay." (3305047715)

    "la composition du menu .le diner qui est servi n'est pas vraiment à la hauteur du standing de la suite troglodyte et de lhotel en general . 1 préparation plus sophistiquée serait la bien venue .dommage car c' est 1 endroit incroyable et la réception et le service sont irréprochables" (99755563)

    "This hotel is small and very well run. It is an excellent base for visiting the many vinyards in the region. Our duplex room was imaculate on arrival, and provided spacious accomodation for our visit. The bathroom was luxurious. You have to order your evening meal if required a day in advance but it is worth it as the food was excellent, of course washed down with the local produce." (3304241714)

    Location was excellent with stunning views. Staff were attentive without being imposing.

    Fairly close to a main road which was quite noisy at times. No tea, coffee facility in room?

    explications plus détaillés concernant le chemin a prednre pour s'y rendre (par ex., aprés saumur plus rien ne nous indique turquant et la direction a prendre- chinon, par ex.; sur les plans routiers n'est pas indiqué non plus))

    unique.Quiet.run and managed by owners so that every thing was made to matter. more like a home than a hotel.loved it !

    "The owner met us and was delightful and extremely helpful. The location, set into a cliff face is superb, something we were surprised by as no mention was made of this on the website. This hotel has been lovingly restored and furnished with exquisite taste with furniture from Morrocco, India and China.     "C'est un endroit surprenant dès l'entrée en voiture. On passe au pied d'une demeure historique par une petite route escarpée pour trouver ensuite un endroit de parking au pied des falaises troglodytes. C'est le dépaysement total et en plus c'est un hôtel qui a beaucoup de charme." (97081483)
