Trajan Forum:

The ruins of the Markets of Trajan, a multi-tiered Roman shopping complex, give you an idea of the sophistication of Roman life. The markets formed part of the Trajan Forum, which took over from the Roman Forum (on the other side of the road) as the main political and social centre of ancient Rome. At one end of the Trajan Forum is the huge Trajan Column, decorated with battle scenes to commemorate one of the Emperor’s victories in war in 112 AD....
